Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

• Account details: name, email address, optional phone number, and a securely hashed password (we never store your password in readable form).
• Learning activity: tests attempted, answers, scores, time taken, bookmarks, XP and streaks.
• Payment records: plan, amount, status and Razorpay transaction reference. Card, UPI and bank details are handled by Razorpay and never reach our servers.
• Technical data: IP address, device and browser information and login times, used for security and fraud prevention.

2. How we use it

• To run your account, deliver tests and show your results, analysis and revision lists.
• To process payments, activate plans and issue invoices.
• To send essential emails such as verification, password reset, receipts and important service updates.
• To keep the platform secure (rate limiting, suspicious-login detection) and to improve our content.

We do not sell your personal data or share it with advertisers.

3. Who we share it with

• Razorpay, to process payments.
• Email and hosting providers, to deliver emails and run the service, under confidentiality obligations.
• Analytics, for aggregated, non-identifying usage statistics.
• Authorities, only when required by law.

On the leaderboard, other students see only your name, XP and aggregate stats. They never see your email or phone number.

4. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in securely (HTTP-only session cookies) and remember preferences. Analytics cookies, if enabled, only measure aggregate usage.

5. Security & retention

Data is transmitted over HTTPS, passwords are hashed, and optional two-factor authentication is available. We keep account data while your account is active and payment records for as long as tax law requires.

6. Your rights

You can view and update your profile anytime in Settings. To request a copy of your data, correction, or deletion of your account, email support@prepboard.in. We respond within 30 days, in line with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

7. Children

The service is intended for users aged 16 and above. Younger users should use it with a parent’s or guardian’s consent.
